Affiliating University

J.D. Birla Institute is affiliated with Jadavpur University of Kolkata, which is a centre of eminence and distinction in the field of higher education.

The National Institutional Ranking Framework has ranked Jadavpur University (JU) 12 th among engineering institutes in India (2018), 13 th Overall and 6 th among universities in India.

JU has achieved autonomous university status by UGC in 2018.  The University has also been short listed at position 7 to become prestigious ‘Institute of Eminence’ (IoE).

Jadavpur University has been accredited with an ‘A’ Grade (CGPA of 3.61) on four point scale by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), and is recognized as a centre with Potential for Excellence.
