After completing an MBA from the University of Massachusetts (USA) and a PhD in Management (Finance) from INSEAD, Fontainebleau (France), Dr. Banerjee started his career as Assistant Professor of Finance in Koç University, Istanbul (Turkey) and Visiting Professor of Finance in Goteborg University (Sweden). Subsequently, as a management consultant in Boston (USA), Dr. Banerjee advised Fortune 500 companies on competitive strategy and finance. Later, as Executive Director, he led the global software business of a large Indian conglomerate, with presence in various continents, where he spearheaded the complete turnaround of the ailing company. This included the acquisition, integration and management of a South African software company with Pan African presence. While with this conglomerate, Dr. Banerjee also architected and launched an education business for them, which grew to 12 higher education centers and 12 K-12 schools with over 6,000 students within a span of 3 years. Dr. Banerjee has also been an entrepreneur, successfully launching a series of food brands. Dr. Banerjee’s academic research papers have been published in internationally reputed journals like Journal of Development Economics and European Financial Management Journal.
